House Subcommittee Holds Hearing on HIPAA Privacy
Rule
March 20, 2001 -- House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee
Chairman Michael Bilirakis (R-FL) today released the witness list
for a hearing entitled, "Assessing HIPAA: How Federal Medical
Record Privacy Regulations Can Be Improved."
The hearing, to take place this Thursday, March 22, 2001, at 10:00
a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building, will focus
on the unintended consequences of the Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act’s (HIPAA) medical record privacy regulations.
The following witnesses are scheduled to appear at Thursday’s hearing:
